Levi's ARG

The new Wieden+Kennedy campaign for Levi's is a scavenger hunt based on fictitious Levi Strauss contemporary Grayson Ozias IV. The grand prize is $100,000, but as with all of these games, I sure wish the amount of time and brainpower needed to win the prize was put toward something a little more valuable. You can read a summary of the campaign here, and visit the official site here.

Find Professor Layton (and more)

Professor Layton will soon appear in Boston and Seattle. If you find him, you'll win a prize.

I tried and failed to find out more information about what happens when you do find him - - is it someone dressed as the professor? But I did find this Professor Layton cosplay:

And this Diabolical Box:

You can read about it and see its contents here.

Clever Neosporin ad (link roundup)

Clever Neosporin/Operation concept ad by Dave Stone and possibly this Thomas Sun. There's also a piggy bank/Neosporin ad.

And a few more links:

1. Good definition for ARGs:
Many games are escapist. ARGs are the anti-escapist. They are the "I'm here, let's make it better, dammit."
And speaking of, here's the Avatar ARG site.

2. An explanation for why Hasbro toy lines don't share accessories very often (3rd question).
